Insurance Product Management
IAB is designed to support the full life cycle of an Insurance product, from definition through code generation and deployment to ongoing management and updating. These stages are shown in the above diagram. The following sections provide more detail on each of the stages.
- Product Creation & Production Changes - Business user oriented tools to support product definition including the generation of UI.
- Release - This is the step that takes the product defined (or updated) and reviewed by the business and moves it into the deployment environment managed by IT. This is to be supported by a CI framework to minimize requirements on IT
- Production Environment - Deployment application to which business generated products from (1) are deployed and maintained in the live production environment.
All the steps are supported by a “Continuous integration” (CI) process to facilitate to support testing, review and release. This also provides support for “what if” scenarios - change pricing, add fields, mod tests, run tests, review the impact.
