Product Creation Methodology

Product Library

The product library contains fragments of insurance product definition and is key to the product creation methodology - it provides the raw materials and serves as a repository for completed product definitions. Each fragment is placed in one of the broad categories below. Individual fragments are in the process of being tagged with keywords. The keywords or tags appear in the tag cloud on the start page and facilitate easy searching.

Product definitions are formed by assembling multiple fragments from the library. The coverage section contains over 50 coverage fragments alone.

The fragments are likely to to contain a superset of the definition required for a given insurer product. Views are used to reduced a fragment to that appropriate to the required product.

Here are the broad areas of definition. The categories are arranged to facilitate quick searches for fragments. For example, all coverages are under the coverages link.
